In loving memory of: Gerald D. Ames Died April 5, 1999 Gerald Ames, who was a Linden Firefighter for 20 years died at home a few days after retiring. He also served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. Mr. Ames was also a member of the Fireman's Benevolent Association of Linden, he was also named the Firefighter of the Year in 1987. Served as a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 2859 in Linden. Mr. Ames was diagnosed with cancer 6 months ago. We must be there now for John and his family in there time of need. Family that still remains is son: Jonathan, father: Mr. Charles Ames, two brothers: Fred and Charles, and 2 sisters, Mrs. Diane Wagner and Mrs. Charlene Lehman. For all those who knew Gerry we wish all the best.
