George Dooley

Mathematics Department

Died in 1998

During the summer of 1998 we lost a very close and family member to the Tiger community. George Dooley was not only a teacher he was a coach and a friend to others. He taught for many years and coached Golf and bowling to name a few things he did. Mr. Dooley was a good friend to have and to have for a teacher. He taught math at LHS for a number of years. Sadly Mr. Dooley left at a young age and having a wife and young children. For everyone that knew George Dooley we like to thank him for his time that he gave to Linden High School's students and faculty. We will miss you dearly.

Mary Kay Wanchik

Media/Assistant Play Director

Died July 16, 1999

During the summer of 1999 we lost a great friend who has touched many people in Linden High School. She has touched the hearts of students, friends, and the faculty that she worked beside. She was a graduate of Slippery Rock University, Mary Kay was the Media Specialist at Linden High School, where she also serves as Advisor for the Boosterettes. She lists as her credits being an Assistant Director for So This Is Paris as well as being the makeup cordinator for Oklahoma and Fiddler on the Roof. Mary Kay has appeared on stage as "Anna" in "The King and I" and most recently as the "Wicked Witch" in a touring Company of "The Wizard of Oz". She was the stage manager and make-up coordinatot for our productions of "Bye Bye Birdie" and "Peter Pan" before becoming the Assitant Director for "Anything Goes", "Guys and Dolls" and "Crazy for You".
